Please remember to drive safely and check for students crossing in the school zones. We continue to work with our students around safe interactions but do understand the area is hectic in the morning. Take an extra moment to park safely and try to ensure students exit the vehicle onto the sidewalk/ side boulevard.
As an educator, there are moments that you talk about long after they pass. I can't help but believe that the time we took approximately 1000 students, parents, and staff members to the hitmen hockey game during anti-bullying week will stand out as one of those times. Thanks in part to a great collaborative effort between our parents and staff, the event went extremely well and was a great opportunity to build Kodiak spirit as well as to spear head conversations around bullying and drawing together as a group.
If you have been wanting to see our Kodiak basketball teams in action this season but haven't made t out, this Wednesday may be the ideal date. All four of our teams are in action starting at 4:30. Students are welcome with parent supervision and getting a loud and proud cheering section would be great!
Invention Convention is Coming!
Our grade 8 students have been working on the Invention Convention and are almost ready to display their hard work. On March 15 from 5:30-7:30 and then during the day on the 16th the gym will morph into a Dragon's Den with students pitching their product ideas and displaying their prototype inventions. Parents and community members are welcome to attend.
